🌑 Witch, Yes! Presents: The Dark! 🌑
Before the sun, before the stars, before the first god took a name, there was the Dark. It sat over a warm and endless water, hidden, as the old hymn says, by more darkness still. From that nothing everything came, and to something like it we return each night when we close our eyes and hand the whole world back. This week, baby witches, we're going into it.
Alicia and Terra follow the dark from the very beginning to your own bedroom ceiling: the primordial nothing the ancients all agreed came first, the night vision you inherited from a worm, and the ancient reason your brain still insists that rustle in the hall is a tiger. We get into why sleep has always rhymed with death, and why we've spent all of civilization chasing the light only to lose the Milky Way in the glare. Were you afraid of the dark as a child? Are you sure you still aren't?
So turn off a lamp. Draw the curtains. Sit in it long enough that it stops feeling empty and starts feeling like home, because it's about to get witchy as fuck. 🌌🔮🕯️
